Am I doing something wrong?

Hey everyone, I felt like I needed to address this and get it out there.
So I've been working on a new story, titled "Insanity", and as of last week, it's become my main project. I've basically been busting my ass trying to update this as often as I can, putting detail and everything I'm able to into each chapter. So far, I'm super proud of what I've written so far and what I'm currently writing.
The thing is, I've posted six chapters, and it's only gotten three readers.
THREE. READERS.
This is a story I've been putting all my free time and hard work into, and only three people have read it so far? What's going on here? Do people not like my stories anymore and don't care what I post? I really want this story to get read, but so far, it doesn't seem like that goal is being accomplished at all. I feel almost crushed.

I hope it's not too much to ask if even some of you could read it, maybe comment on it or recommend it? It would literally mean so much to me because this has basically been my main project for the past week, and all I want is for it to be somewhat noticed.
