You know what makes me really freaking angry?

That in the U.S. I'm registered with only my father's last name, even when my mom registered her on the birth certificate. I detest not having my second last name in there as well as having only the initial for my second name.

I have a first name, a middle name, my dad's last name, and my mom's last name, okay?

I need to request a change on my TX I.D. and on my degree because it infuriates me to not have my mom's last name there and my middle name. I don't even know why I get so worked up, given that I used to hate my first name so much that I wanted to change it when I was in middle school and high school, but you get attached to it. The name becomes you and it is yours, so I get freaking pissed when people just shorten it for their convenience when it comes to legal documents.

Like, sure, call me Lee or Aileen, or Ms. Martinez, or whatever, but my legal documents and my freaking college degree need to have my full name.
