It's another Tuesday here in Chicago and midterm week is upon us. Fortunately for some and unfortunately for most others, the curriculum is set up to see what you're made of and if you are capable of keeping up with everyone else.
The seventh week has come, but I feel like I want the semester to end already! I've come up with a routine, but it just gets harder and harder to actually follow through. Waking up feels like a chore and I don't feel like I'm getting the worm by waking up early. Four days a week, seven to eight hours of class each day? Gahhhh!!!! Somebody save me and take me away! On top of classes, I've been looking for a job for about four and a half months... Let's let that sink just a little bit. Yes, I know. Adding a job with school and trying to get enough sleep is very...grueling (for lack of a better word).
BUT here comes some good news!
This past Friday I had an interview that morning and then a few hours later, late in the afternoon, I was hired! I mean, only two of us actually showed up to the interview, but the questions each manager asked was so much more realistic and better than any other interview I've ever had. I mean asked me about my favorite customer experience when going shopping. No one has ever asked me that before. It just seems crazy to me. At the end, they just asked for both professional and personal (excluding family, of course) references and that was that. Quickly after walking out of the store, I called/texted all of my references and told them to expect a call. But I wasn't expecting them to call so fast! All calls went well from what everyone told me and then I was hired! Just like that! I just hope that I'll be able to balance school and work out while exceeding in both areas of my life. Fingers crossed.
Now back to school for a little bit.
This is semester is completely jam packed with dance classes! My school makes it really hard to fill up our credit hour capacity because technique classes are only 1 credit hour each. Yuck. All in all though, I am pretty satisfied with my schedule. Modern every morning to wake me up and then ballet and anatomy to set the tone. Really and truly, I only have 1 academic class. Interestingly, I signed up for Scientific Investigation (forensics). Every time my teacher starts to lecture, though I fall asleep! Then I wake up to do a lab and it's like I never even closed my eyes. *sigh* Hopefully, he doesn't take my grade down or anything. I can't help it if he bores me to sleep. *shrug*
Whenever the day ends, I'm just ready to curl up, read, and go to sleep.
Wait... Class starts in 20 minutes!
Bye,
AaLiyahChrisTina ;)
