What effect has the "big" storm had on other UK peoples?

I just thought I'd ask as the area where I live, from what I can see, nothing has happened. I live in the middle of the country side on top of a huge hill and looking out of my window, I can see no damage. Just normal storms seem to have more damage. Usually the power here goes out just like that in a storm, but it hasn't, we've still got it. looking down towards the thames, can't see any floods. People here are going about their day as normal. However I know that there is a lot of disruption to trains, and roads. And I know there has been damage elsewhere. So mibbians of the UK, how has the storm effected you? Is there any damage near you?

Overall this storm has been nowhere near as bad as 26 years ago, but it was and is (as its still moving east and intensifying) a biggie.

Just hope everyone managed to stay calm and is able to carry on a s normal
