Why Can God Not Have a Creator, but the Universe Has to Have One?

that sounds awkward

but

what i'm trying to ask is

why is it all "god always was here!" but the universe has to have a start and an end? like, has anyone stopped to think that just maybe the universe is eternal? i mean, matter can not be created nor destroyed, so isn't it possible that the universe was just always here?

my friend brought up the argument that god made everything and i asked who made god and her response was "he made himself" (of course, she wasn't being serious; she's an atheist, she was mocking christians)

well ain't that some shit

like wow maybe there wasn't a start of the universe and maybe there won't be an end, maybe it's all much more simple than we think, maybe there wasn't some miraculous event that caused everything to just be.

for the past few days i've been obsessing over how us as humans can only see a small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum and like

FUCKING CHRIST

THIS BUGS THE SHIT OUT OF ME

LIKE

WE CAN ONLY SEE COLORS

WE CAN'T SEE INFARED, ULTRAVIOLET, OR GAMMA RAY.

BUT IMAGINE WHAT EVERYTHING WOULD LOOK LIKE IF WE COULD SEE THE WHOLE SPECTRUM

WHAT'S THAT? YOU FUCKING CAN'T?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
