quizilla daze

disclaimer: this is not to say everything on quizilla is shit i'm just saying 99.7% of it is okay

I think it's pretty safe to say a good amount of us started out on Quizilla and (let's be honest here) once we actually got decent at writing, we came here.

Quizilla is full of 7 minutes in heaven, poorly written fan fiction and arranged marriages - all of which contain a title longer than any chapter. From what I gathered, it's full of beginners who've barely got the tiniest idea of what they're doing. They're just testing things out and not worrying about grammar. For me, I spent the better part of 2008-2010 getting out all my weird fantasies about Ryan Sheckler, Joe Jonas and Jesse McCartney loving me. It was horrible - no plot, no character building, no double spacing oh god and my grammar was atrocious. All in all, it'd be hellbent for any half decent writer to find a story they actually enjoy.

But I mean, I'm really glad I spent two years of my life on Quizilla. It showed me my love for writing and I met a lot of great people that, at the time, were probably my closest friends. i have no idea where any of them are now but that is not the point lol

This is pretty much a reminisce blog about the "good ol' days" but really, while I'm embarrassed by my horrible writing skills or therefore lack of, I'm not embarrassed that I came from Quizilla. I'm glad I found Mibba and it's wonderful here but I'm glad Quizilla is my extremely embarrassing omfg "roots", I guess?

sappy late night blogging ugh gonna go watch movies bye
