About an hour or so ago, I got on my laptop and did what I usually do when I first sign on: check out what's new on People.com and UsMagazine.com. I almost wish now that I didn't.
The top story on both sites read as follows: Fast and Furious Star Paul Walker Dies in Car Crash.
I keep hoping and praying that it pops up that all of this was a hoax; that he's alive and well with his Fast and Furious costars, happily filming the next movie. His death has not only been reported on the news sites, but also on his official Twitter and Facebook pages. This all but confirms it to be true.
I'm pretty much crying my eyes out right now. This guy has been one of my favorite actors since I saw him in Joy Ride and The Fast and the Furious. Not only was he such a handsome man, but every role he took on, he portrayed it with such emotion and credibility. I can't even begin to imagine what his family must being going through, especially his young daughter.
The only thing I can say is please pray for his family and friends. And please hope and pray that it somehow, someway it turns out to be a terrible hoax.
RIP Paul. You'll be sorely missed.
