Ian Watkins Was Sentenced Today

Hey guys.

So, I was just checking up on the case, and apparently earlier today Ian Watkins' sentence was handed down to him.

After pleading guilty to a string of charges; including, but not limited to, attempted rape of a baby; the former lead singer of the band Lostprophets was sentenced to 29 years in jail. From what I read, the judge did not go easy on him, either. He called Ian, and I quote, "A manipulative and dangerous sexual predator who had abused his fame to help satisfy his insatiable lust." He also stated that Ian had "plumbed new depths of depravity".

Watkins must serve at least 2/3 of his 29-year term, then spend six more years on strict probation. I, for one, don't even think he should be able to get out period. The charges are just...so disturbing.

What do you guys think of this ruling? I'm interested to hear some of your opinions on this case.
