Evolution of (my) Music Taste

So around a year ago I got an iPhone for Christmas, and basically tossed my iPod to the curb and started my iTunes library all over again. I recently unearthed it from a mountain of papers in my desk drawer and decided to listen to the playlists I had on there. Dating back to sixth grade.

Can you imagine?

So basically, after listening in horror for a few minutes, I went through the playlists and realized that the music I listened to at ages 12 13 14 15 and even when I had just turned 16 (as opposed to 17, which I'll be in a few months), is monumentally different. It's so strange to realize that music you listen to can so greatly reflect your personality. For me, the playlists actually brought back a lot of memories and things I forgot about myself.

SO THE POINT IS: I'm going to give everyone my six favorite songs (in no particular order) from the last four years of my life, starting from the eighth grade, because I have yet to finish my junior year of high school.

Eighth grade:

5) Lights by Ellie Goulding (everything by Ellie Goulding!!!)

6) Ed Sheeran. Everything.

7) As a special seventh addition, I will make note that sophomore year is when I really got into One Direction. They ruined my life.

RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE HERE I'M JUST GOING TO THROW IN FALL OUT BOY I'VE LISTENED TO THEIR ENTIRE DISCOGRAPHY ABOUT A THOUSAND TIMES but I didn't start listening to them until around mid-July when I was on a very long train ride.

Junior Year!!!!!! (I mean I'm not done with it yet so these songs may be subject to change):

anyway, I'll probably update this post before I start my senior year, at the end of it, before college, etc. I think it's a cool thing to do, yknow, keep track of this kind of stuff.
