My 2014 Reading List | Stories I Hope to Write in 2014 | Questions

So, I've been seeing a few blogs around lately, talking about their reading plans for the new year. I decided I wanted to do one of my own. This will also be posted to the Reading Wishlist Challenge 2014 thread.

The books I plan on reading in the year 2014 are as follows:

Vein Fire by Lucia Adams
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen **
Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen **
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte **
The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld
The Fallen series by Lauren Kate
The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead **

** - owned, have previously read, and would like to read again

That's all I'm planning on right now. I don't want to overwhelm myself. I'll probably add more as I think of them, though.
I also have a few stories I want to start in the upcoming year, and one or two that haven't been updated in a while and would like to continue. They are as follows:

Original

The Road to Nowhere - a zombie apocalypse story. [Posted]

Come Undone - a story set at a fictional prison in Michigan. It follows a recent medical school graduate as she steps into the role of head infirmary doctor, and quickly finds out the job may be more than she bargained for when she meets an inmate who forces his way into her life and turns it upside down. [Pending]

Fan Fiction

Stay - a True Blood story, featuring Eric Northman. [Pending]

Ties That Bind - a Vampire Diaries story, featuring Elijah Mikaelson and Rebekah Mikaelson. [Posted]

I think that's it for now. There's one more original story I hope to start, but the page/layout isn't finished so I'm not going to whore it out yet. Feel free to rec/subscribe to any of those, though!
Questions:

1. Do you have any books you hope to read in 2014? If so, what are they?
2. Do you have any stories you plan to write in 2014? If so, and you'd feel like linking them to me, please feel free! I'd definitely like to rec/subscribe to some new and upcoming stuff.
3. How was your new years?

Also, new blog layout, yo! I actually really like it. Shocking! Okay, I'm done now, I promise. ;D

xoxo.
