Dissapointments | New idea | RECC ME YOUR STUFF

So my boyfriend heard back from Oxford today. He didn't get in :(
This really surprised me because this boy is a genius. Seriously. Most of the time if he gets less than 100% in anything he's disappointed. He's predicted 4A*s at A-Level which is like insanely good and he didn't think his interviews went that badly... So if they are as focused on academics as they say they are, why didn't he get in??? He gets feedback in a couple of days but at the minute all I'm thinking is 'elitistbullshitelitistbullshit' because he would have been perfect for Oxford apart from the fact he didn't come from a private school.

Ugh maybe I'm just reading into it too much or being biased or whatever.
But blagh he was so disappointed. No one from our college who applied to Oxford or Cambridge got in this year which sucks but in a way suffers the blow for him because he's not alone.
And my best friend got rejected from her top choice of Nottingham Uni so overall it's not been a good day.

I did get an offer from York though so I guess thats something. I've got offers from York, Nottingham, Sussex and Chester and I'm just waiting on my top choice Durham. WHICH SUCKS because they wait until after the deadline so I might not hear anything back until March, maybe even May at the latest and DAMNIT I WANNA KNOW IT'S MY TOP CHOICE AND I REALLY REALLY WANT TO GO AND BECAUSE OF HOW GOOD IT IS ITS REALLY UNLIKELY THAT I WILL GET IN. WAH D:

Finally for the first time in what feels like years but is probably like 5 months I have inspiration to write! It's based on an idea I had ages and ages and ages ago, and I don't want to give too much away but its about a girl confessing to how she and two others 'invented a serial killer'. I'm expecting it to be around 15000 words maximum so nothing too tiring or whatever but yay I have an idea and I want to write it THIS HASN'T HAPPENED TO ME IN FOREVER.
