Any Mac Users?

I'm a little bit frustrated right now.
So here's the story:

I get home from class today take out my mac and turn it on, and then I plug in my adapter. The next thing I know is that the adapter doesn't seem to be working.
Here's what I'm getting:
I can plug it into the wall and to my mac, it brightens the screen up, the battery icon on the top right indicates that the adapter is plugged in, however right beside the icon says (Not Charging) which is odd, because the icon shows that the adapter is plugged in. As well as the LED light on the MagSafe adapter doesn't come on.

I'm thinking of going to the AppleStore tomorrow to see what I can do, but this to me seems like a simple fix; because one thing is for sure is that my computer recognizes the adapter, but it doesn't want to charge neither does the light appear.
And the last thing I wanna do is buy a new adapter; I'm so broke as it is right now.

Agh, I can do without my cell phone, okay. I can do without my ipod, okay... But when it comes to my mac... not okay, it's not okay at all

If anyone reads this who is good with computers, particularly mac book pro, leave a comment or suggestion; it would be really helpful.
Thanks.
