So, I've decided my therapist made me to go back to college but to study something I really want to, which is Drama. I've filled out my application forms and whatnot, and now I have a date for my interview/audition at each college. This is where my problem comes along.
Please prepare one monologue from a modern/contemporary published play (not a screenplay or a musical) that lasts between 1-3 minutes.
There are far too many plays for me to comprehend and the ones I'm always attracted to are either American or too 'old'. I think if it's American, it wouldn't be bad but I'd feel safer if it was British. I'm asking for your help. Please let me know what your favourite modern/contemporary plays are, your favourite monologues and characters.
Also, have any of you auditioned to Drama school or courses etc.? How was it?
