This probably happens for most people, but I feel like the older I get, the younger people start to look. Like someone who looks 12 to me is really 16. Someone who is really 12 looks like a freaking toddler. It is just this crazy phenomenon and I don't get it.
It's especially bad with younger children/babies. Like I absolutely cannot tell you what a two year old looks like versus a four year old. And I am super bad with guessing what milestones they have achieved. Like can two year olds talk? I don't know. I think they can but it's probably mostly gibberish. And I have no idea at what age people are potty trained.
Tonight at work I asked a 3 year old what grade she was in. Oops.
