Reader Confusion.

So I recently made the mistake of looking at all of my stories and was really excited about all the new readers that were coming in. But then I looked at the readers for each and every chapter that I had posted, finding myself deeply saddened at the decline. It is kind of discouraging to see this and it really made me question my writing style.
I'm asking one of my friends or fellow readers (if you are one in the same that's awesome too) to please explain to me why this is happening or just explain how to gain those readers back.
I'm in desperate need for answers and I just don't want it to affect my future writings on this page, because honestly this is the best page that I have posted on.
