Favorite Quote | It’s Only a Month Away

But first..... This California heat is ridiculous. I live in Daly City. It was 90 degrees yesterday and 86 today..... I LIVE IN WHAT IS PROBABLY THE FOGGIEST BAY AREA CITY AND IT WAS 90 DEGREES. Are you serious? I am boiling here. (; ̄д ̄)

The above is a quote from Beauty and the Beast. It’s from the song Something There. For the longest of time, Beauty and the Beast has been a favorite movie of mine. Ever since I was a child really. Why was it my favorite? Because I could connect with it so well. I could connect with Beast as well as Belle. Both Beast and Belle are misunderstood and hated for their differences, and that is something I’ve always been.

Growing up, I found it hard to make friends. It’s always been a struggle for me to be able to connect with other people no matter how hard I try. As I got older, it became more and more difficult. It sounds odd but it’s almost like there’s something about me that just makes people hate me and I have no idea what it is. No matter what I do or how hard I try, I struggle to connect with people.

This quote – this movie – speaks to me a lot because of the message it carries. The message it carries is that even if you’re different – even if people hate you for your differences – there will always be someone out there who will love you for who you are. It gives me hope that someday, I will meet someone who’ll accept me for who I am and won’t try to change my “odd” behaviors. It gives me hope that I will someday meet someone who won't take advantage of me and who will be able to truly love me.

So that is why I chose to use this quote for the first day of Mibba Month.

My phone sent me a reminder today. It was a reminder about the Hawaii live~ It’s one month exactly until SCANDAL’s Hawaii live. Until I will get to see my four girls for the first time. The day after I see them live for the first time, it’ll be the first time I’ve seen them play acoustically. I’m very looking forward to seeing SCANDAL acoustically. Haruna’s voice is gorgeous as it is; I can only imagine how beautiful her voice is going to be acoustically.

I’m looking forward to meeting them – all of them. I’ve been a fan of SCANDAL for five years. I found out about them only months after they debuted in 2008. I’ve been loyal to them for years and after all this time, my love for them hasn’t faded. Their music has done a lot for me and I’ve become fairly reliant on it. To be able to meet them is something I’ve always wanted. I speak bad Japanese and their English is bad, but I know that I know enough to at least thank them for what their music as done for me. I do hope there will be a translator on the fan tour but even if there isn’t, just meeting them and being able to thank them will be enough for me.

Not to mention I’ll be in Hawaii and I’ve always wanted to go to Hawaii. So everything works out. I can’t wait~ Only one month to go until I can see these lovelies.
