When Christianity Meets Feminism (Again)

I haven't done the count, but I know I'm not the first person to come across these questions and to be asked my opinion. Well hopefully I asked truthfully and honestly how I felt, and I believe I did.

Afterwards my friend told me they were some difficult questions involving feminism and the Christian belief, and how I answered is where I stand on the issues. The issues this time involved a wife taking high leadership positions (pastor and president) and the questions asked how does the husband stay the spiritual leader in either situation? As well as how does the wife submit to that husband? Well I took a crack at it and here are my answers.

Wife is pastor- how do you be her spiritual leader? The head of a church and the head of a family are two different jobs.

I think the bible says that I only have to be the spiritual leader of the household. The bible instructs the woman to submit to her husband as Christ is the head of the church, so the husband is the head of the wife. and to the husband to love her as Christ loves the church and to, "to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word" And giving public recognition that her husband is head of the family. They can learn from each other; the jobs are different but also connected in some ways. They can compromise, as long as it doesn't exceed the bounds of the New Testament laws of marriage. It shouldn't be a dictatorship, but something as understood by the precepts established by God.

Your wife is the president- how does she submit to you?- The president and the head of a household are also two different jobs. Public recognition that the husband is head of the household, and submitting to his leadership as the Bible commands. So following the commands of the Bible is what I think how she would submit to the husband. No matter what that leadership is. But what she does as a president and what the husband does as a house leader are different. They also can learn from each other; the jobs are different but also connected in some ways. They can compromise, as long as it doesn't exceed the bounds of the New Testament laws of marriage. It shouldn't be a dictatorship, but something as understood by the precepts established by God.

My opinions should never be the final say, ultimately I believe Gods law should be. But that still doesn't stop me from wanting to hear the opinions of others. God created everyone so different from the inside and on the outside that all of our opinions are different! And I enjoy the diversity of humans so much. With that said I'm open to hear any and all of God's creation and their voice. (Translation: leave some comments and let me know what you think about these questions. Or send me a link to your blog about a relative subject!)

Blessings!
