#EndFathersDay (Feminism Rant I Suppose)

So I have been seeing loads of these tweets and comments recently.

"#EndFathersDay because 100% of child abuse comes from men"
"#EndFathersDay because it's triggering for women who have been abused by their fathers"
"Celebrating a man's influence in a kid's life is inadequate in today's patriarchal society. #EndFathersDay now. #YesAllWomen"
"#EndFathersDay because fathers shouldn't be given credit for mother's work"
"#EndFathersDay bc its a celebration of patriarchy and oppression"
"EndFathersDay because men around children always leads to sexual abuse. #YesAllWomen"

Ok. So these are just an extremally small selection of things I've seen.

I want to start here by saying this. I KNOW THIS WAS CREATED BY 4CHAN. I know that. However, 'feminists' jumped onto this band wagon. I even had someone on my roleplay account have a fit at me because I said
"#endfathersday? then we #endmothersday too."

Number one ~ Feminism is about EQUALITY. If you want to take away Father's day, we take away Mother's day too, it's only fair.

Number two ~ "#EndFathersDay because 100% of child abuse comes from men"?
Excuse me, have you read A Child Called It? I think that is pretty much child abuse coming from the MOTHER. And there are other's too. This is the only book I can think of though~

I would say my Father can be abusive. Verbally at least and occasionally physically. You do not see me going around saying we should take away Father's day because of that. It's not triggering for me. It's not triggering for my friend who was raped by her Father. It's not triggering for my mate who watched his Dad stab his Mother.

My Father raised my sister and I. My Mother divorced my Dad and walked out the house when I was merely two years old. I do not recall one time where my Father has sexually abused me or have heard of a time where he has sexualluy abused my sister.

Now, once again, I KNOW THAT SOME OF THE TWEETS I HAVE INCLUDED ARE MORE THAN LIKELY TROLLS, but I do know that the three I quoted again were not trolls, as far as I am aware, they were the twitter users belief.
