What Should I Do?

I've been writing the story Mine as part of the Avenged Sevenfold fanfom for a while and I just recently decided to change the direction of the story. Is it better to stick with my original plan or continue the changes because I think I've turned it into a jumbled mess! Any advice? I haven't had much experience posting stories on here and although I have several readers, recs, and subscribers, they mostly came before I made drastic changes. I wanted to do a strictly romance/drama but halfway through I wantednit to be a fantasy story but I fear it has all become trash. I'm really considering going back to the original storyline but really would like some advice. Whether or not you're a reader of mine, I need some guidance please!
