I have like 10 stories in progress that I really need to finish buuuut this idea is like circling my brain like a vulture and I don't know if I should start it or not because it's generally not something I actually write and I'm unsure of how it'd turn out. Plus I don't think anyone would even like it.
Here's the idea:
a father/mother of a young child is murdered in front of their child and when the child is taken home from the scene by a family member they become extremely excluded from everyone by their own choice. Then within a few hours the parent comes home only they aren't themselves. They're a demon that feeds on sadness to stay alive so the parent pretty much starts abusing their child to make them sadder than they already are so the parent can live but after a while the parent realizes what they're doing and chooses to save their childs happiness while they can.
Like the idea sounds fun but I'm not sure I could pull it off.
