Writers Advice Needed (Marvel / Saw)

I actually had an idea for a story, but I'm not so sure it would work very well, so I was hoping for some other advice from other writers.

I had an idea to write a Marvel themed Saw story. So like, a group of characters trapped in a house and having to do certain things to get out (just like in Saw 2) but I wasn't so sure it would work? I mean, certain characters it would be fairly easy to come up with ideas (i.e.) Tony would be in for being a play boy or for his drugs, Harry would be in for drug abuse (it's not canon but it's in his sort of nature; rich boy with too much money etc.).

Does anyone think this idea would actually work? Just curious as to who would read it as well.
