Maybe This Time...

There was a girl who loved to write more than she loved grape juice, kittens and snowball fights. She would stay up all hours of the night, risking getting grounded, writing. At first on paper, but once she could get away with it, she would stay up until the sun came up typing away at her family computer. When she was finally done high school, she got a laptop that was just hers and she broke that laptop from writing so much and so often. So she bought a second laptop with her own money, but that one got broken too. So she saved up, fixed it up and just continued to write.

With all the writing she did though, she was scared. You see, she had joined a community. A community based on truth and happiness. But the girl lied. She was insecure and so she lied about everything. Being a writer meant that she was good at spinning tales. And all of her lies caught up to her, overwhelming her and making her sick to her stomach. So she left her little world of writing. She left but she never stopped writing. After over a year or traveling abroad, attending school, burning through two laptops and participating in two writing competitions, she finally returned to her community.

Perhaps this time she could write honestly. Create friends who cared for her as she was. Maybe she would be more confident this time.
