July Favorites! (About a Week Late, I Know)

I kind of forgot about this, to be honest. My life has been crazy lately but in these last few weeks of freedom left I'm going to write as much as I can to stock up before school kills me. But, some things have taken precedence as of late so the things I've mostly been working on are my Teen Wolf stories. For those interested, I have 3 and nothing has been posted yet but I've been trying to stock up on chapters:

The Nature of War || Derek Hale

True Nature || Stiles Stilinski

Okay I'm not sure how long this list of favorites will be so bear with me here:



1. Holy Ghost! - So I went to visit my friend at this big Cincinnati festival called Bunbury where he was coming through with the band he works for, Young the Giant (who I don't hate but don't love) and while he was packing up I walked around with my friend and stumbled onto this band and the huge dance party that was going on in front of the stage and we just had to join. They are SO MUCH FUN. Oh my gosh. Just amazing. Great music to move to and every guy in this band was gorgeous (the actual band just consists of two guys but there were others touring with them, obv and they are beautiful). Anyways, my favorites are "Do It Again" and "It Must Be the Weather" but any song of their's is amazing.



2. The Madden Brothers - Yes, the Madden twins are making music again and it is NOTHING like what Good Charlotte was (though, admittedly, as a freshman in high school they were my jam and yes sometimes I rock it ironically but also because it takes me back don't judge me okay moving on). I just found this out, by the way, kind of in August but oh well I'm putting it in July. I don't really ever listen to the radio but I'm glad my Spotify was being a jerk because their song "We Are Done" came on and - no joke - I am completely OBSESSED WITH IT. I can't stop listening to it. As far as I can tell, they only have two other songs out ("California Rain" and "Out of My Mind") but I cannot wait for more. So good.



3. Bitter:Sweet - Kind of different, but also super cool. It's also just two people (a lady and a gent and her voice is mega cool) and I am in looooove with "Dirty Laundry" and "The Mating Game". I don't know much about them, like at all, except they live in L.A. and that I like their music when I'm feeling something different and fun. So you should give it a listen if you like that stuff, too.



Admittedly, I don't think I saw a single July movie release because life and nothing that interested me but I did happen to marathon all of Teen Wolf at the beginning of the month and am completely caught up to present day (excited for tonight yet also extremely worried). So, yeah.

1. Teen Wolf - Hence all the TW stories I've got going on now. Like, how can you not? The characters are so well done and the writing, for the most part, is amazing and the guys ... need I even go there? Because, um, DELICIOUS. I disagree with some of the stuff they've pulled but overall I think it's an amazing show. I hated on it when it first came on and I take back everything I said.



2. Ridiculousness - Now, I used to love Tosh.0 (and I don't hate it now by any means) and this show has repeated videos I've seen on that but I have to say I like it more. I don't know - maybe it's having more commentators than just one but I think it's just got more. You know? You feel me? I can dig it.



3. Sports - I love sports. Y'all may not know that about me but I, legitimately, love sports. I watch them all year long. I've got at least one for every season and it's what I watch almost every single night. My teams - Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Ravens, New York Rangers, University of Kentucky Wildcats (basketball), Columbus Crew. And now football season is back and my Ravens won their first preseason game, Cincinnati pulled off a pretty rad win last night (I know that counts as August and so does the first football game but shush it's my blog I do what I want). I have missed seeing Justin Tucker in spandex. Just sayin'.



A new section, but I've bought some stuff this past month that I feel like sharing so deal with it or skip over it haha. I like buying things (hello, I'm a girl) and I splurged way more than I should have in the month of July which was stupid since I had to buy school books but this weekend I sold my old car so I'll probably make some more dumb purchases this month. Oh well. YOLO as the kids say these days.

1. Undergarments - Personal? Maybe. But seriously if you are a female and haven't checked out Target's undies section then you are just failing. I bought some seriously cute sets (I have never worn matching underwear, like ever, but I figure I'm getting older I probably should have at least a few even though no one gets to see them but me) and they were MEGA cheap. Like I got one, my new favorite set actually, and it was under $30 TOTAL. You heard right, TOTAL. You can't even buy a bra from Victoria's Secret for under $30 these days. And their underwear? So mega comfortable. Target's ... I haven't bought VS underwear in like a decade. I don't dig glitter on my tush, no thank you. But seriously - you should check it out.

2. Realtree Perfume - I'm not big on perfume. Most of the time, I just use scented body lotion that smells like cookies because, duh, cookies. But I have always had a soft spot for Ralph Lauren (the blue bottle whatever its called) and most other perfumes I just don't really like. I got this perfume in my Ipsy bag for June, technically, but I am absolutely 1000000% in love with it. I wear it every day and it's only like $20 a bottle. I'm all for saving money as a grad student (kind of) but it's really worth it. To me, at least. I love the way it smells and it's not too strong, but stays with me all day long even if I work out. Gotta love that.

3. Limited Edition Neff Disney Villains hat - I love hats. I have always been a hat person. Flat bill baseball caps were never my thing until a few months ago, though. And I saw this hat and immediately had to buy it. Well, back up, my brother saw this hat at Tilly's and texted me immediately that Neff had a Disney Villains line out and it was all Captain Hook and just to die for and there was a hat I needed ASAP. It appears everyone has had a busy summer because Mibba seems fairly quiet lately. So, sadly, this will be a short list with probably some repeats on it.

Longer than I thought it would be since Noelle (Carpe Diem !) has been super active. I know a lot of those are probably repeats but those are the most recently updated stories on my subscription list. Always looking for recommendations though if you have any good stories I should read. I have two weeks until my first day of school so already finished stories would be perfect hahaha.
