1. What are you listening to right now?
Oh lord... "You've Got That Thing" by Cole Porter.

2. What song(s) make(s) you sad
"After The Goldrush" Neil Young's version especially, "Father and Son" by Cat Stevens, "Feels Like Home" by Trio, "39" by Queen.

3. What is the most annoying song in the world?
The Frozen song is probably a worthy contestent. God, some woman started belting it out in the store, I wanted to run her over with my cart.

4. Your all time favorite band?
Queen, or The Smiths.

5. Your newly discovered band is?
Beirut. It's all deep shakey voices, and crashing percusives, with deep french horns, and Eastern block european accordians. It's love.

6. Best female voice?
Stevie Nicks.

7. Best male voice?
Freddie Mercury or Jim Morrison.

8. Music type you find yourself listening to most?
::shifty: Classic rock, post-punk, indie, folk.

9. What do you listen to, to hype you up?
"I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers.

10. What do you listen to when you want to calm down?
Cat Stevens, generally. Brandon Flowers' "Flamingo" album is also very soothing.

11. Last gig/concert you went to?
Mumford and Sons. They were brilliant.

12. Band you find yourself listening to the most right now?
The last few days has seen a great deal of Bruce Springsteen.

13. Most hated band?
I'm not sure. Generally if I don't like a band I just avoid it.

14. Song that makes you think?
Anything by The National. His lyrics are written via word association/stream of conscience, which I find fascinating.

15. Band that you think the world should love as much as you do?
The Smiths, Daniel Johnston.

16. Coolest music video?
I'm pretty out of touch with music videos anymore.

18. What do you play/would you play in the bedroom to spice things up?
Oh I think some good old fashion Hungarian polkas would set the mood.

19. Can you play a musical instrument?
A little guitar, a little keyboard, a little violin. Honestly my relationship to instruments is that of my relationship to foreign languages; I know phrases.

20. Ever been in a mosh pit?
No. I was born 40.

21. Are you in a band?
No.

23. Ever dated a musician?
No.

28. Do you wish that you were a musician?
I'm always a little awed by people with expressible talents, but no, not really.

29. Best chick band you know of?
I don't really listen to female artists, but... Indigo Girls. "Galileo" is a great song.

31. Last song that you heard on the radio/CD…etc…?
Last song I heard on the radio was... "Crimson and Clover" by Tommy James and The Shondells. Last song I heard on a CD was probably "Hard Land" by Bruce Springsteen.

32. What do you think of Classical music?
It was my first love. I used to record tapes of it, and bought whatever CDs I could get my hands on (which were usually TV boxsets that wound up in thrift stores) I still have some of them.
So, very fond.

33. What do you think of Country music?
I like real country, such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, The Dixie Chicks, et cetera. I can't stand what passes for country on the radio, it's beer and lifestyle music.

34. What do you think of Death metal?
I like metal, heavy metal sometimes, but I'm not terribly familiar with Death metal bands.

35. Last BIG band that you saw live?
Mumford and Sons.

36. Are you a groupie?
No. Besides not having the funds, no.

37. Do you listen to music in foreign languages?
Yes. Predominantly French, but also Italian, Portuegese, Finnish, and a little German.

38. What famous musician would you like to “spend the night with”!?
I'm assuming the quotation marks are to signal a euphemism? None.

39. Worst concert moment?
Floggy Molly concert, my "dad" started bobbing his head like a stoner. Wanted to punch him.

40. Funny concert moment?
An extremely obese, shirtless guy backed a smallish guy back into me. The look on his face when he got smeared with sweat was both adorable and hillarious. Also, he served as a buffer between me and Sweat Bear, so it was cool.

41. Sad concert moment?
I saw a youngish kid passed out against a wall, he didn't look the type.

42. Best local act you can think of?
A guy my mom goes to see a lot is pretty cool. I've listened to his CD a lot.

43. If you were a musical instrument what would you be?
A cello.

44. Do you listen to the radio?
I listen to Slacker fairly frequently, and the local station which is an oldies station with a fondness for Led Zepplin and AC/DC.

45. Do you watch music TV?
I don't get TV stations in.

46. Do you follow the music charts, like the top 40?
No. Every summer I turn the radio on for a day or two to see how bad it is, and then return to oldies stations and my music.
The less I know, the better.

47. Have you met any famous musicians?
No, not famous, but one that I've admired my whole life.

48. Are any of your friends/family/etc. musicians?
I know a lot of musicians, no one in my family is, and I don't really consider them "friends", but we're friendly.

"I Am A Scientist" by Guided By Voices.

51. Do you know the names of all the band members that you listen to?
No. I like to listen to the music without associating it was a person.

No.

None of them?

53. Favorite movie sound track?
Rocky Horror Picture Show. I have played that countless times, I still am crazy about it.

55. Any musician pet hates?
Too commercialized, too egotistical, too vapid.

56. What do your parents listen to?
My mom listens to all different things, reggae, real country, women's music, world music, classic rock, folk, everything.

57. What are you listening to right NOW?
"I Am A Pilot" by Fanfarlo

58. Do you wear band etc T-shirts?
Sometimes. I have a lot of Beetles tee shirts, a Mumford & Sons, Pink Floyde, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Greatful Dead.

59. Do you cook to music?
Generally, yeah. Usually The National.

60. Do you sing in the toilet?
No. I don't sing anywhere.
