Of course, this is yet another thing prompted by Quizilla's closing.
Over the weekend I found that I had some old stories on my old Quizilla account (which I was greatful for), so I went searching for old writing website/blogging accounts of mine to see if I was lucky enough to find any other lost works there (I was). Now that I've transferred over most of the stories I found there (and put it in a neat little collection: here), I'm trying to go back and actually close those accounts for good.
While it's great to find old work of yours on the internet, it's also pretty ridiculous to have a bunch of unused accounts you might now even remember. So far I've deleted a Writer's Cafe account and a Writing.com account - both of which had work I hadn't seen in years on it. I'm currently going through my LJ account and then I'll purge and remove that account if possible.
Now I have to do some creative writing website searches on Google to see if any website names come up that look familiar and see if I have any accounts there too.
Oy. This is going to take forever.
