I got tagged to do a thing! That is a thing that does not usually happen. Katie Mosing tagged me to do this.
Of course I've already started thinking about what kind of New Year's Resolutions I want to make this year...but like others seem to be, I have also started thinking about the stuff I need to get done before the end of the year.
1. First and foremost...GRADUATE! That means:
...-Finish my 25-page essay on biphobia in the LGBT community
...-Finish my 15-page essay on internal conflict in Macbeth
...-Finish my 10-page essay on Mary/Marina the Transvestite Saint
...-Prepare two informal presentations
...-Finish building my web site
...-Memorize a bit of Shakespeare
...-Buy my cap and tassel and prepare to celebrate maybe
...-I suppose I might need to pass my final exams too
2. Buy Christmas gifts! For my mother-in-law and brother-in-law this weekend, and then for my mom, dad, brother, sister-in-law, grandma, best friend, roommate, cat, and husband probably next pay period
3. Figure something out for the heat in my car (which will probably involve just buying a portable heater for the dashboard since actually fixing the car's heat is way too freaking expensive)
4. Find a full-time job--not a real long-term-career-type job yet, just something to pay the bills until my husband and I move to the Twin Cities
5. Finish those two spoken-word pieces I've been working on since like October
6. Start up a blog that I actually intend to stick with
7. Just read a lot more poetry
8. Finish re-reading Pillars of the Earth by Steve Follett
9. Finish writing New Year's Resolutions
And there we have it. I'll probably come up with more goals later. And of course I have a much more detailed version of this in my notebook because IT'S A LOT OF FREAKING STUFF and I have to make a time-table with like daily and weekly goals to make sure I get it all done. o_o
I am going to be so relieved when this year is over. But on the other hand next year isn't going to be any less chaotic.
EDIT: Forgot to tag people. It's pay 1am so I'm gonna cheat and say I tag anyone who wants to do it.
