I Have White Privilege

And I am trying to use it correctly. I'm going to protests. I'm not speaking over PoC but I am signal boosting everything I can. I'm not playing the #notallwhites game on Twitter. I'm openly going after people in my life who are racist and telling them point blank I can't keep associating with them because their attitudes will make our country worse. I'm listening, not speaking over right up until I hit the "white discrimination" bull. No. Not in America. We have stacked the deck against every other race in this country. We perpetuate harmful stereotypes. We are letting them die and instead of demanding to know why it's okay to kill a teenager because a cop couldn't suck it up and carry a taser, we are playing a race card we don't have. I am a white man in America. People don't look at me and dehumanize me by calling me a thug or assuming I'll mug them. People don't look at me as less than human and use it to kill me. I don't have an equivalent to the KKK. I am white, and Ferguson is NOT about me.
