Happy Holidays, Everyone!

It is that time of year again where I have too many places to be all at once, too many people that I feel obligated to see and too many things I would rather be doing (sleeping being #1). I do love spending time with my extended family, but they can be exhausting! Too many people with too much going on. And a bit judgy, but hey, they're family.

For my holiday, we went to Brendan's grandparents yesterday afternoon, his parents last night, my dad's this morning, my mom's this afternoon and now we're getting ready to go to my grandpa's. It is such a crazy, busy time!

There are so many traditions to remember, too. Brendan's little cousins put on a mini Christmas play of sorts every year after our Christmas Eve dinner, plus they do a lego building competition, a trivia game and gift exchange.

For my family, we read the Christmas Story every year (or I think it's just part of it because it's really long - I never pay attention), build gingerbread houses, play a game and do a gift exchange as well.

It's a long few days, but it is fun as well!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, whichever one you celebrate, and hopefully we all manage to survive.
