On My Way Back Home

The past year or so my kids and I have spent most of our time traveling, learning and experiencing more to this life. Which is possible due to my homeschooling Grace, and Reese not being old enough to attend school anyways. Last week I decided to head 'Home' and visit my mom and dad, and to place fresh flowers for Amelia. It never gets easier. The missing her, the wanting her, the needing her never gets easier. I wish my kids had the chance to meet Amelia, had the chance to see her and experience the fierce love she had for everyone. On my way back home, I found myself realizing maybe that whats I'm running from, it doesn't seem like home without Amelia filling the corners and her laughter floating down the street. Maybe traveling is the only way to fill that space. We've seen so many beautiful places, and heard so many stories, maybe that's simply whats keeping me whole, because on my way back home - I decided I don't know what home is.
