It was strange how she noticed things in him that she never noticed in anyone else. The freckles on his shoulders, the way his nose was just a little bit crooked, how he would only snore when he was lying on his back. They were such insignificant details to anyone else, yet somehow they consumed her, always lapping at the back of her mind like waves on the beach. All she really knew was that she wanted to be the only one who could find the exact spot on his back where he was ticklish, or the scar on his head from a childhood accident. He was it for her. He was all she saw and all she would ever see. There would never be anyone else.
