For me, day seven has just stared. To date I've written a total of 8,317 words and haven't started writing yet today. So, I guess I'm actually a bit ahead.
I am both happy and disappointed with my novel. I opted to go with third person instead of first like I was originally using. I've also all but killed my inner editor. I'm not allowing myself the luxury of editing my work and it's driving me made because I normally edit as I go along.
But, I want to just get the first rough draft done and completed so I had to make the ultimate sacrifice.
At least I can look forward to tearing it apart and fixing it to how I want it. The goal of the rewrite has me excited. For me, that is the light at the end of the tunnel.
