The English Language!/Severe Eyeball Pain!

Hello fellow Mibbians! How are you doing in this fine, fine day ? Uh, night. I know, I know. It's technically morning. C'mon, Hannah, 1:11 am is not night!

Ugh. Ouchies. My eyeball hurts. I put acne meds on my forehead and I think I accidentally rubbed a small amount of it into my eye. I think. Maybe not. My right eye is just severely itchy and irritated. It's not red, nor painful, just really, really fu**ing itchy. Can that do that? Or if I had acne meds in my eye (the medicine is like 10% peroxide) would it be all burny and painful and stuff? Ugh, but this itchy eyeball is keeping me from sleeping, and I've got to wake up early to go to a little kids amusement park with my best friend tomorrow! Oh, the torture!

Okay, now to the part about the English language. So, as you may or may not know, I've been dabbling in the world building of a high fantasy novel. That I'm actually 1001% serious about. I've got this idea for a scene that I might write and tuck away in my binder or that I might write and post it here as a one-shot/really, really short story. Anyways, this high fantasy novel does not take place on Earth. Evidently. If it did, then I wouldn't be in the process of world building. Anyway, if there's no earth as we know it, then how can the English language be called the English language? After all, its named for a country (England) that is on Earth. And that country is named for a group of people on Earth (Anglo-Saxons, Angles. One of the two.) To cut to the chase, I need a name to call the English language. I would go with Common Tongue, but that's far too Game of Thrones. Plus, it just doesn't sound right. Another name tht I came up with was Tongue of the Masses, but I opted not to use that, as it sounds more sci-fi than it does high fantasy, right? I could also go with Mannish or Man's Tongue, Tongue of Man, ect. something along this lines, as the will indeed be humans in the story. I could make other races use a different language, but I could not go into detail about it. An example:

Bob studied the warrior that was before him. He was very different than Bob and his people. "Bob!" The tall orc boomed in the Orcish language, a very quick paced and harsh tongue. "Why did you and your filthy humans trespass onto my lands?"

Bob's translator replied back in the unpleasant language. He turned to Bob, and finally Bob's ears were greeted with the familiar tongue, much slower and softer in comparison to Orcish. "Bob, Timmy the Orc wants to know why you were on his property." Man, did Bob absolutely love the sound of the Mannish language.

Anyway, yeah. I'm really having issues with deciding what to call English. Worst comes to worst, I can always try to find a generator for it. If you have any suggestions for that, please, let me know. :)

Owie. My eye is now burning. Great. I suppose I'm off to go care for that.

Well, goodnight everyone. Er, good morning, if you want to be technical.
Love ya'll,
Hannah.
