It's The Alpha's Angel!

Welcome to the first in my series of four (or so) blog interviews! I say series but I just have four to post, and this is the first. I thought it sounded cool. Anyways.

If you don't know Mandy, you haven't been hanging around the blogs enough. She posts monthly recc blogs and monthly giveaway blogs, and does super cool interviews with people! I haven't had the pleasure of talking to her too much, but from the small amount of time we have talked I know she's such a sweetie.

I first read a story she wrote a little while back when she commented on a giveaway blog of mine (if I'm remembering correctly), and I loved it. The story was Of Blood and Honour, and you should definitely go read it because it's absolutely amazing.

Now, onto the interview!

Let's start off with your name (or whatever you go by online) and how long you've been hanging around Mibba

My name is Mandy and I've been stalking people on here for 2 years and seven months

What do you like to do in your free time (other than writing)?

I am a mum to a four year old little girl who seems to think that she's a teenager... so any time that isn't spent writing is spent tidying up and other chores.

What do you want to be when you "grow up" (in other words, are you going to college/university for anything or do you
plan on going into college/university?)

Being a full time mum is the best thing in the world, but I'd really like to go back to college and do a Teaching Assistant course... I already volunteer at my daughters school and I love it

If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?

Alaska... which probably sounds crazy but I'd love to be able to experience it... dog sledding and different customs :)

Do you have a set daily routine or do you just go with the flow of the day?

Being a mum my weeks are pretty routine, the only days I get to go with the flow is Saturday and Sunday

What's one thing that you find weird or interesting about yourself?

Ermmm... I can't eat off of cutlery or drink from cups that someone else has, goes for food as well... I can't share food with people

If you could live in one TV show universe, what would it be?

Probably the walking dead, I have an obsession with zombies and who wouldn't want to share a world with Daryl Dixon

Do you have an OTP?

Not really to be honest, I may be slightly obsessed with Sterek (Stiles and Derek from Teen Wolf) and McDanno (Danny Williams and Steve McGarrett from Hawaii 5-0)

If you could only listen to one band for the rest of ever, which would it be?

Cold Play, but their earlier stuff

Favourite candy/dessert?

I don't really have a favourite candy but dessert... I'd have to go for Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream

When did you first start writing and why did you start?

I started writing when I was about thirteen as a way to vent, I was getting bullied alot and writing offered me that freedom... an escape from what I was going through

What genre do you generally lean towards when writing?

Romance... I love love and all aspects of it as well. I like the old cliche love and also throwing in some twists as well

What about reading, any specific genre you're drawn to?

I pretty much read anything that grabs my attention, but I guess fantasy (Narnia, Harry Potter) anything that takes me away from the real world and away to somewhere that my mind can run wild.

Do you prefer original fiction or fanfiction?

When I first joined Mibba, I was all for Original Fiction but slowly I was converted to Fanfiction and it's what I've stuck to since

How do you get over writer's block?

To get over writer's block, I usually listen to music... that's my biggest inspiration when it comes to writing

Do you have a writing ritual (something you always do when you write)?

All my writing is pretty much free form, I don't plan things ahead of time, I just write and see where it takes me. I start of with where I want the story to begin and where I want it to end, the middle just forms as I write. I guess research would be another thing, I always research as I write and double check things to make sure it's all right

What's your favourite story you've read on the site?

I have a few but one of my top three is The Murder Club--> by starfire., it's just an amazing read and is really well written

What's your favourite story you've ever written?

I try and connect with my stories as much as I can, but Of Blood and Honour is one of my favourites and also the first ever story I posted on here Why Me?

Give us an overview of a few stories/poems/anything else you're in the middle of writing/have written recently!

I'm in the middle of working on a few projects as we speak, as well as working on the stories I already have posted. I haven't updated in a little while because writer's block has decided to take over my mind but I am working on some stuff

A Helping Hand is a story about a young girl named Kadie who loses her dad and feels like her world is falling apart, but help comes in the shape of a farm hand. It documents Kadie's struggles and how someone caring can help others see through the bad.

Of Blood and Honour is basically the diary of a soldier.

Nitrous is a fast and furious fanfiction, it has the whole family element and obviously cars, but it doesn't follow the films.
