The lovely Sam won first in my science fiction contest, Beam Me Up, Scotty!, with her entry, The Case of T.P. Wallace. I love everything Sam writes, and though this is for a contest that I created so I may be biased, this is probably the best story of hers. It's just so wonderfully done and beautiful. Even if you're not into sci-fi, I highly recommend it. But Sam chose a ficmix for one of her prizes, so here we are!
I couldn't make an 8tracks for this because I use Spotify so I don't have that much music in my iTunes (and every time I search for a song, it never shows up so I probs don't know how to use it lmao).
COME AWAY WITH ME BY TRACEY CHATTAWAY – Theme
GASOLINE BY HALSEY – Thad's Theme
You can't wake up, this is not a dream,
You're part of a machine, you are not a human being,
With your face all made up, living on a screen,
Low on self esteem, so you run on gasoline
HEADING HOME BY GRYFFIN – Nia's Theme
Cause people gonna judge and people gonna talk
And they can say what they like
Won't keep me up at night, no
People gonna judge and people gonna talk
And they can say what they like
Won't keep me up at night
DEVIL BY LYDIA
So if you have to think about it?
Just think about it real slow
We're on a mission for the devil,
Even if it breaks some bones
It's blue and red as far as I can see
I know you're going to find that devil
But you'll need some company
WISE MAN BY FRANK OCEAN
The beast will crawl this earth
Then fall in the dirt to feed the crows
They'll rip apart his flesh
'Till all that's left is glorious bone
CARRY YOU HOME BY ZARA LARRSON
When the one you care for just takes it all
Washing you down like a waterfall
You lose the way and you hit the wall
I'll be the one, I'll be the one, I'll be the one to
Carry you home
LOST BY LIZA ANNE
I'm doing it with my own heart I won't let it mend
use my own two hands, I rip out all the seams
oh, it seems I'm my own worst enemy
I'm doing it to myself
HOW DID I GET HERE BY ODESZA
How it is true
How society say her life is already over
Nothing to do there
LONG WAY HOME BY JUKEBOX THE GHOST
One day further down the road
With full grown children of your own
If I passed by you on a busy street,
Will you remember me?
Will you remember me?
WINTER BY JOSHUA RADIN
But I don't have to make this mistake
And I don't have to stay this way
If only I would wait
