So, another day, yet another blog. Seriously, for a writing website Mibba is distracting me from writing a whole lot, ha ha.
Anyway, I was browsing the Tutorials and saw a recipe for Homemade Rice Krispie Treats. My fiancé adores Rice Krispie Treats, so I thought I would try this one out to surprise him when he got home. The recipe was great, but I learned that I am a total airhead while making this. I followed the directions exactly, only adding one additional step – stopping to take a phone call in the middle of Step 6. The call took longer than I expected and when I came back, the marshmallow had started to stick together and wouldn’t stir smoothly!
Even though I screwed it up, I’d give the recipe five stars: it was simple, quick, and yummy. My attempt ended up okay – we still ate every bit of it, only we ate it in chunks that we pulled out of the bowl. I never even bothered trying to put it into a pan, ha ha! But that’s the awesome thing about Rice Krispie Treats, I guess. They’re delicious in any shape!
