Do You Like Strong, Female, LGBT, POC, Protagonists?

Haha, I feel like that list is a little excessive, but it's true. There is such a lack of diversity in literature from America in general. I try not to write from the perspective of women or POC, as I am not one, but finally I have decided to break my own rule.

I write about white men so much, I hate it. I hardly even write gay people (mostly because it just wouldn't be realistic for the period pieces I do). Most of the time, though, I don't even like to touch on sexuality.

But that has all changed.

On the Surface is my newest story, and it's by far the favorite of all that I've posted so far. It takes place far in the future, and follows Nadia, a olive-skinned lesbian with an Italian father, as she and her robot sidekick Dib embark on a quest to take down the neglectful government seat on the floating city of Victoria. And I love it.

It's just a draft so far, so it has it's issues, but I still love it. If you're interested in strong, female, POC, LGBT characters, I would appreciate some feedback.

Also, if you know of any stories with more minority representation, link them! I'd love to read some.
