First Person vs. Third Person

So I’m planning a Bucky Barnes story and I’m having a bit of a dilemma with the point of view. I’ve only ever written in third person, which makes more sense because all of my stories feature multiple characters acting as narrator.

But this story is going to be different. This story will be purely from one character’s perspective and I was thinking I might try my hand at first person from her perspective. Like I said, I’ve never written first person but it just seems like it might fit this story better.

What do you guys think? Should I try first person or stick with the third?

Also, if anyone’s looking for something to read, my story I Can’t Make You Love Me is my only story without a single comment and I’d really like to change that. Also, please forgive me for the shameless story-whoring, ha ha.
