What Am I Writing For?

I ask this question of myself daily. My answer changes all the time. Most of the time it's because I have written something that people have expressed interest in, (comments, subscribes, etc) and then other times it's because I really enjoy writing the story and I love my characters. But, lately I haven't been feeling either.

My newest stories haven't really caught on, so I haven't gotten much feedback on them. So, I don't know if I should continue, and because of that I've felt a little down and like my writing isn't as great as I thought it was. I've started two new stories this week, and I'm still not sure how I feel about one of them.

So, I've been battling with this question all day.

What am I writing for?

If anyone has any awesome, helpful advice I'd love to hear it. I'm a little down in the dumps and my urge to update has vanished. Which really sucks, because I've been on a roll.
