"Little Red" by man.or.monster Review

Story: Little Red
Author: man.or.monster
Rating: 5/5

Little Red is a drabble written by man.or.monster from the wolf’s point of view of Little Red Riding Hood. It currently sits at 164 words making it the perfect little quick read to squeeze into your hectic days. The story itself depicts a starving momma wolf, who we know as the wolf that ate grandma, as she stalks little red in hunger with a desperate need to feed her family. This short takes away from the normally villainous approach of the wolf and gives us a look at a different side, a side that I personally found more enjoyable. Even though we know that the wolf is about to eat the grandma and little red we can’t help but hope that she succeeds and is able to feed herself and her family. This makes the wolf more relatable in my opinion which we don’t see often.

My overall rating of this piece is a perfect five out of five for the new perspective on the “big bad wolf” character that we’ve come to love, or hate, over the years. The author did a fantastic job and I can’t wait to see more of their works.
