Long Time No See | Updates and Ideas

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've been active on here.

Honestly, I've just been working a lot. When I'm not working, I'm either babysitting my niece, or just too tired to actually write anything. But of course, I still have ideas floating around.

I obviously want to continue stories I have up (Piece By Piece is the big one, really) and I will hopefully updating soon. I also have my contest to finally judge, which I want to accomplish over the next few days. And a prize I have to give out to my previous winners (you know who you are, and I haven't forgotten about you, I promise).

Jumping into the ideas I have, I have three stories I'm really brewing in my head. Two are fanfiction and one is original fiction.

FANFICTION 1: A John O'Callaghan (The Maine) story - focusing on him and a friend from high school, kind of a "the one who got away" story, best friends falling in love. A lot of inspiration is drawn from their latest album.

FANFICTION 2: A hockey fanfiction, focusing on Mark Johnson (in the universe of the 2004 movie Miracle - based on the 1980 Olympics). This is a recent idea. About once a year I go through a phase where I am obsessed with Miracle. It's such a great movie, and I honestly can't even imagine what people must have been feeling when it happened for real. If you haven't seen it, even if you aren't really a hockey fan, WATCH IT. It is so inspiring. Anyway, I honestly don't even know if anyone would be into reading a fanfic about this? It could really be read as a historical fiction, too. I might just play around with it anyway and see what comes of it.

ORIGINAL FICTION: A story focusing on a teen couple growing up in the south and the obstacles in their relationship (will have a better description when I start writing it). This draws inspiration from the songs "How Does It Feel?" by The Maine and "American Country Love Song" by Jake Owen.
So that's four stories that I want to work on. Oy. I'm going to take a look at my work schedule and see if I can work out a writing schedule.

Let me know what you guys think about any of these ideas!

What ideas do you guys have for new/old stories?

What do you do to get back into writing after a while?

How's life been?

Talk soon! xo
