Writing & Publishing

Hey guys!
I know it's been a while, but I was just coming to update my blog and tell you that I've found my writing mojo once again (finally) and I'm actually in the process of finishing up writing my first novel in a series that I've been mulling over for a long time. After this I plan on editing it and then putting self-publishing it on CreateSpace.
My only big thing is I’m worried about it still sounding like amateur writing. I’ve been pouring over articles in my spare time on how to make the writing better. I should just save it for when I start editing it though.
