Best Friends Aren't Forever

Have you ever had that one friend you just connect with? They lied to you over and over and over and over and because you're so alone you keep forgiving and forgiving? You move to another state, leave your family behind. The distance now is unreal between you two even though you're sleeping next door to each other.

So years down the road, you get that special someone. Your best friend should be someone who does detective work and stalk him. But instead they let the distance between you get worse. they pull away because they are going through something they refuse to tell you, even though almost 7 years of friendship and countless other discussions, that all of a sudden they are going to feel bad for venting to you.

Have you ever walked away and regretted it everyday? That a simple question like 'How is so and so doing?' almost tears your heart out.

Now you're just a memory who refuses to even try and fix our way past broken friendship, but I'm a fighter and fighting is just what i do. The question I keep asking is why for you?
