T-Minus 8

As I begin this blog, there are 8 minutes left of October. 8 minutes until NaNoWriMo begins on the east coast. 8 minutes until THE ultimate writing extravaganza begins. I'm so excited.

I didn't do NaNoWriMo last year; I did camp earlier this year, and I won, but I never finished that draft. I want to finish this one. I want to take this one places I could have never imagined. I want this one to be stellar and to go further than my 5 other novels. I want it to be the greatest thing I've ever written--but that's how it works, right? We will see.

For all of you guys participating, anyone who's started or will start within the next few hours: good luck. NaNoWriMo isn't easy, but by God it is rewarding (and I don't just mean that in the literal sense). So, as a last-pass before the writing begins:

I encourage you all to join my NaNoWriMo Challenge and also read my novel, The Land of Infinite Whispers, as well as the novels of others which you can find links to in the NaNoWriMo 2017 thread. Please participate, encourage one another, and just enjoy this month of challenging yourself in the most absolutely insane way possible. It's an amazing experience, guys. Do well.
