I'm Getting Published.

Guys.

Okay, so over the summer I received an email from an editor at an online publishing company who was interested in my writing. I contacted that person, only to find out they'd been replaced. But I've talked with her replacement.

We've been emailing back and forth. I sent her my story The Fisher Killer, and she wrote back saying it needed work as far as expansion (the final draft only reached 70-something pages, which I know is too short for a novel), and character development, which she would be happy to help work with me on. That and anything else until it's finished.

She said the editing process can take months or years, but it really depends. I've known people who fixed their novel and were published in six months.

She said she's going to speak with the CEO, who will email their contract. Then she will follow up to set up a phone conference.

I'm still processing how I feel. I didn't get excited like a normal person would; now that I've slept on it, I'm nervous/low-key excited. I think I'm still not believing this, like it's not real.

This is not my life.
