One Month

So, I finally finished editing what I had written of The Land of Infinite Whispers! I cut ~31,000 words down to ~22,000 and I've edited the four chapters that remain. I now know where I want to go with this and it's time to finish the remainder!

I'm not used to working with deadlines, but I am used to working in short-term bursts. I've won NaNoWriMo six times (out of like 10). I can't wait for NaNoWriMo this year, so I'm gonna do my own weird version of it over the next month! Between now and October 17th, I'm going to be writing roughly 1,667 words a day in hopes that, on or before the 17th of October, my first draft will be finished. Then I'm going to give myself three weeks to edit the piece in its entirety. I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing after, as I don't know how much will change in edits, but I would hope to send it to beta readers at that point, then revise based on their feedback and suggestions.

Hopefully by the end of this year (but probably not) I'll at least be on the third draft, if not ready to begin querying agents. I just hope I can stick to this project and pull through.
