#10 - Should Writers Write Every Single Day?

Do writers write every single day?

Professionals do.

Non-professionals do not.

Professionals say it's a habit.

Non-professionals say it's an accident.

Professionals find it's easy.

Non-professionals impossible.

Non-professionals want to become professionals.

They want to write every day.

But they never do.

They have reasons.

School, work and sh*t.

Their reasons are so reasonable, so justifiable and so real.

They want to be professionals and they have the potential.

But they have reasons.

They have undoubted reasons for being failed.

If you ask them.

Should singers sing every day?

Should dancers dance every day?

Should painters paint every day?

They would say yes.

And they would say yes firmly.

if you ask them

Should writers write every day?

"Absolutely ", would be the answer.

if you ask.

Are you a writer?

" Yes. I am. " Very proud of themselves.

Do you write every day?

" Nah, I need to be motivated and inspired, or in a right mood. But it rarely happens, so I wait, I pray. The moment I get it, I'll write and I'll write the whole day, it feels so great, but those moments are so rare, three or four times a month."

When you ask them.

Are you studying or working the whole day?

They shake their heads.

How would you do in your spare time?

" Reading, with friends and family, watching videos and mess around with social meida. "

They have plenty of time.

But they need to be in a rigth mood to write.

They have million ideas in mind.

They want to share these ideas with the world.

And They know that writing is the best way to do that.

They want to become a professional writer someday.

They know that doing what professionals do will get them there.

And they know that professionals write every day.

But they don't know HOW.

How can you write every single day?

Especially when you are tired, frustrated and sad.

Let's try to find the answer, we do together.

Writing is a habit.

A habit is something which you do often and regularly, sometimes without knowing that you are doing it.

We do it gradually, in a progressive way.

At the beginning. We write 50 words a day every day.

Then 100 words.

Then 200 words.

...

Until we write freely every day.

It's not necessary to update stories every day.

We make comments on others' work.

We have conversations.

Or blogs.

But whatever we write, we write things which have a theme or topic.

Write arguments. Claims, reasons and evidence.

Write recipes for cooking. Ingredients, tools and instructions.

Write recommendations about books. whats and whys.

Make every writings having a beginning, middle and ending.

However many words we write, we write a whole package.

What we write doesn't matter.

Just write.

It becomes our breath.

Feel choked when stop writing.

If you want somebody writing with you, I am open and available.

Thanks again everyone, let's write every single day of our life!
