#19 - Signs You Are Going to Be a Great Writer(5) - Attention to The Detail

Every painter begins with a blank canvas.

He puts lines and strokes.

He has trees and flowers.

He has butterflies and birds.

He has objects and items.

Then he has people.

The sun shines.

And the trees cast a shadow over the bushes.

The butterflies are playing in a cluster of sunflowers.

The birds are singing on the branches.

The women in silk dresses are washing their hair in the river.

The children are running around and trying to catch the butterflies.

You, as a viewer, would be drawn immediately into the world.

You can't resist the atmosphere and the mood.

The happiness in the eyes of the women and the surprising of the children.

The lights and the shadows.

The contrast and cohesion of the colors.

The texture of the objects and the skins.

The movements of the people and the wild animals.

Each element has its characters and they make up the whole scene dynamically.

All of these began with a empty canvas.

But also with a very vivid imagination and the magic hands of the painter.

He was born to do this.

Nothing can't escape from his eyes.

Small ones and momentary ones.

He has spent years after years travelling and exploring.

He observes nature and people's lives.

He studies human and animal anatomy.

He pays some many attention on the movements of things.

He examines objects and items in the world.

He tries tools and colors.

He tries compositions and settings.

He tries everything that would bring him to the greatest.

And you can't stop to admire and be wowed by his products.

Great writers are the same as great painters.

They go out to the world.

They observe and listen.

They watch people talking and behaving.

They study human nature and society.

They ask and interview people.

They would never let any little thing out of their sight.

Every element in their writings is just like an element in a painting to make the whole full of life.

All of these great writings began with a blank paper.

But also with an conflicting, struggling and brilliant mind of the writer.
