Approach to NaNoWriMo?

How are you tackling the beginning of NaNoWriMo?

The way that I've decided to do it is to set up milestones in the form of stories. I've been putting off completing a few of my stories so I've decided to use those as milestones. My first milestone is 5,000 words written for the co-write Frozen Hearts. My second milestone is 10,000 words written for my fanfiction A Lewd Existence and finally my last milestone which is to make progress on my novel The Death List with 50,000 words which equals to roughly about 40-50 chapters since I try to keep chapters around 1000-2000 words. If I can complete at least half of the 50,000 and the other two milestones I'll be considering this a success to me, especially since I've been so out of touch with writing lately. Besides, anything that I don't finish during Camp NaNoWriMo I can always do later this year.
