He pulled up that hood faster than you thought
He shunned you more than ever caught
You could never catch up with the lot
You had seemed so overwrought
Just how we had never thought

How can you say such things with just a straight face?
Disdain, disgust, dislike, distaste
As simple as the phrase “I hate you”
As similar as the saying “I don’t love you”

You tore my heart in two
It used to be me and you
I loved you for infinity times two
But now minus you
It’s just never plus two

When you left, you slammed the door
Then I fell to the floor
Before you went, I knew what love was
But as the noise rings in my ears, I can’t recall the feeling

The taste of you lingers on my lips
Trying to find someone else never would work
I will only remember your hands on my hips
I dream of finding you at night when you used to lurk
