Write yourself a poem.

It's odd,
but lately
all of my journals and thoughts having been turning into
poems.

This isn't one,
or at least I don't think
it is,
but you see how the lines break
and what is emphasized
without bolds or italics or underlines?
If you read it
the way it's written
instead of like reading a story,
it sounds a little
funny,
right?
But after a while,
it starts to sound sort of
poetic.

I think it's kind of cool,
the way you can turn most anything
into a poem.
The meaning of a bee sting
can be poetic
if you give it a chance.

A silly dream,
a curious feeling,
a question of sanity—
you name it.
There's probably a way to
express it more artistically
than ever you knew you were
capable of achieving.

So think.
That trip to the movies,
the time sprite came out your nose,
a daydream,
a nightmare,
wondering where something came from…
in your mind,
it was poetic.

So why not
on the page as well?
